Jack Meyers, served at Melrose/Simpson Campground, is having tests for health problems.



Rev. Polly Standing's family (Jefferson First Circuit) Jennifer, Rev. Standing's 21 yr. old daughter, was diagnosed with MS last week. Doctors want to run tests on twin sister, Kimberly and Rev. Standing to find out if they may have symptoms.

Rev. Bob Waldman, Bascom UMC, Tyler, is in the hospital with an undiagnosed illness. More tests were run Tuesday, September 26.

Gordon Gnipp, Certified Lay Speaker & past treasurer of the TAC, UMM, was involved in a motorcycle accident Sunday, September 24 returning from the Wendish Festival as a volunteer. He was treated & released from Breckenridge Hospital in Austin , then taken to the Veteran's Hospital in Temple for additional treatment and released on Tuesday, September 26. 979-242-5561, gggnipp@fais.net.

Prairie View A&M University Concert Chorale, Wednesday, October 4, 12 Noon, First UMC, 1320 Main Street, Houston, Texas, 77002, 832-668-1800, www.fmhouston.com. The Chorale will present a 30 minute program of spirituals. It’s repertoire spans several centuries of choral art music and is noted for its emphasis on the preservation & performance of the African-American spiritual. Free-will offering.
