Audrey Barfield has been moved back to ICU at Methodist Hospital.
Audrey had pneumonia that became very severe. She had surgery on her right
lung last Wednesday, July 5th and spent 2 days in ICU. She was moved
back to a room on Saturday. Today, July 10th, she was moved back to ICU
due to breathing concerns. Please remember both Audrey and John in your
prayers.

Well we've hardly gotten through with Conference for 2006 and I am
writing you about Texas Annual Conference 2007. The dates are Sunday, May
27, 2007 through Thursday, May 31, 2007.
Please call today and get your hotel reservations in for 2007. In
2007 the Conference will be held at The Woodlands UMC located at 2200
Lake Woodlands Drive in The Woodlands, Texas 77380. Phone number:
281-297-5901.
The host hotel will be the Marriott Waterway Hotel, located at 1601
Lake Robbins Drive in The Woodlands. We have very limited room space at
the Marriott. But until we fill it up, we cannot begin to secure other
locations due to our multi-year contract. Please call today and get
your reservation in for 2007. The hotel number is 281-367-9797.

attending in 2007. The more we rooms we can reserve early the better off we

District)
This notice is to inform you of a very important "first time"
meeting of the new SOUTHEAST District United Methodist Men. All lay men and
clergy are automatically members of the district organization, according
to the 2004 Book of Discipline. So, you are all invited and encouraged
to attend the inaugural meeting of the newly formed SOUTHEAST DISTRICT
United Methodist Men. Opportunities and insight for growing men’s
ministry will be the focus for the gathering. In addition, we will be
adopting a new district UMM bylaws document and electing and installing
officers to lead the new district. Plan to be at Beaumont Wesley UMC, 3810
N. Major Dr. on Sunday, July 16, from 2 to 4 pm. for this great event.

Greggton United Methodist Church, Longview, TX, with an average weekly
attendance of 400 on Sundays, including both traditional and
contemporary worship services, is looking for a Youth Director who is committed
to working with youth and with their families. Longview, located in the
northeastern part of the state, is a great place to live with a
population of about 70,000.
We are looking for an individual who has a contagious,
biblically-grounded love for Jesus that is communicated effectively to youth as you
connect with them. Building this ministry will require a great sense of
humor combined with the ability to organize, delegate, and
follow-through in your commitments. We are partial to United Methodists (or those
who want to become one). Experience is preferred. A college degree is a
plus.
This is a full-time position with a compensation package that is
