ROM Michael D. Dent, Senior Pastor, Marvin UMC, Tyler~
Funeral services for Dr. Kennard "Bill" Copeland will be Wednesday,
March 29, at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary of Marvin UMC in Tyler.
Dr. Copeland, 91, was the Administrator of the Methodist Children's
Home in Waco from 1964-1978, and the brother of the late Bishop Kenneth
Copeland. He was also an active member of Marvin from 1978-2006.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Lloyd James Funeral
Home in Tyler.

Dr. Lewis Jackson's sister, Sarah Ellis, of Seattle, Washington, passed

eChurch, the National Leadership and Ministry Development Conference
hosted annually by Windsor Village UMC is fast approaching, scheduled for
April 19-22, 2006. Using the theme, "Reality DNA: the Essential
Elements of Making Visions Happen," this year’s conference will provide

On April 1, Marvin UMC in Tyler is sponsoring EMPTY BOWLS, a fundraiser
for hunger relief. Over 60 one-of-a-kind bowls have been designed by
Marvin artists and friends. There will be a silent auction on that night
to raise money, but some of the bowls are already on the Marvin website
for preview and for early bidding. You can go to the Marvin website
(www.marvinumc.com) and click on Empty Bowls. Follow the directions to
place a bid on a bowl.
Also, tickets are still available for this great event on Saturday,
April 1.
The fun begins at 6 p.m. at Marvin UMC, 300 W. Erwin in Tyler with a
great dinner, silent auction, music and moments of inspiration and fun!
Tickets are $15 each and may be purchased at the door.

The IMPACT team from Texas A&M invites you to come spend time in
small group devotion time with college students who are devoted to Christ.
They will share their testimonies as well as what they are experiencing
in college and will answer questions high schoolers have about college.
Sessions will be small groups, girls with girls only, boys with boys
only, girl students with boy counselors, boy students with girl
counselors as well as large group talks, games, and worship.
$10 recommended donation to cover IMPACT expenses and meals. Dinner
served at 6:30 pm . Breakfast served at 7 am Sunday morning.
This non-denominational event will be over before 8 am to allow you
time to return to your home church for service.

for a Summer Youth Director. Daingerfield, located 40 miles north of
Longview, is the county seat of Morris County and has about 2,500
residents. Daingerfield FUMC offers a full summer of activities for a group of
about 20 middle school and high school students. A candidate for our
Summer Youth Director would have two years of college. The position is
open from the end of May until mid-August. A weekly salary and a
