You and your media ministry team are invited to the Digital
Storytellers Seminar on Saturday, February 25, 2006, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. at St.
Peter’s UMC in Katy. Len Wilson and Jason Moore (both formerly of
Ginghamsburg UMC, and co-founders of Lumicon and Midnight Oil Productions)
literally wrote the book on the subject (The Wired Church and Digital
Storytellers). If you have used screens in worship for a while, just started
using them, are considering using them, or wish you could, you will not
find anyone more knowledgeable than Len and Jason or a seminar more
beneficial for this aspect of ministry than this one. The cost for the
event is $109 for individuals and $89 per person if 2 or more come from
your church (You are encouraged to bring your entire media ministry team).
Detailed seminar information and online registration is available at
www.midnightoilproductions.com. Brochures are in the mail and can be
emailed if you contact Billy Watson at bwatson@stpeterskaty.org or

FROM Rev. Janet Stilwell, Minister of Discipleship and Spiritual Life
Klein UMC -
Klein UMC is pleased to host Dr. David Lowes Watson as this year's
speaker in our Klein Lecture Series March 4th from 9:30a.m.-12:00p.m.
The mission of "Making Disciples and Transforming the World" has
been cast. How can the local church make this vision a reality? One way
is through Covenant Discipleship Groups. Dr. Watson, originally from
England, brought his understanding of Wesley's Society Groups to the
United States and adapted their form to fit the current, local church
organization. The result is Covenant Discipleship. Come and listen to Dr.
Watson's wonderful rendition of Wesley's view of discipleship and take
home a realistic plan of how to implement Covenant Discipleship Groups in
your church.
For more information, contact Rev. Stilwell at: 281-353-8202 or
janet@kleinumc.org.

FROM Kip Johnson, Director of Serving Ministries, Sugar Land FUMC
