FROM Rev. Janet Stilwell, Minister of Discipleship and Spiritual Life
Klein UMC -
Klein UMC is pleased to host Dr. David Lowes Watson as this year's
speaker in our Klein Lecture Series March 4th from 9:30a.m.-12:00p.m.
The mission of "Making Disciples and Transforming the World" has
been cast. How can the local church make this vision a reality? One way
is through Covenant Discipleship Groups. Dr. Watson, originally from
England, brought his understanding of Wesley's Society Groups to the
United States and adapted their form to fit the current, local church
organization. The result is Covenant Discipleship. Come and listen to Dr.
Watson's wonderful rendition of Wesley's view of discipleship and take
home a realistic plan of how to implement Covenant Discipleship Groups in
your church.
For more information, contact Rev. Stilwell at: 281-353-8202 or
janet@kleinumc.org.
