_________________________PRAYER CONCERNS________________________

FROM Stephen Shockley, Lufkin FUMC, Chair of SFASU Wesley BOD, BHECM~
Would you please add my wife, Carrie Shockley to the prayer request
list. We are expecting twins. The actual due date is December 8th,
however, the doctor put her on bed rest yesterday. We will only be on week 25
of the pregnancy on Friday. This is a high risk pregnancy and we have
to make it a minimum of 28 weeks for the babies survival odds to jump to
98%. The doctor feels like we should make it between 34 and 37 weeks,
however, we are in for a long row to hoe. We need all the prayer help we
can get.

FROM Michael Hunter~
Please add Marie Shugart and family to the prayer list. She was just
diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia, and is currently at MD
Anderson Cancer Center for treatments. Marie is the Aunt of Greg Meismer, CCYM
Rep from Houston SW District.
Marie also had a stroke, which seems to be the most immediate
problem, according to her sister Donnie Meismer. She is now in need of blood
or platelets.
Go to the link below for information on how to donate blood or
platelets. Platelets take longer to donate than blood does but you can find
all the info at this link:
http://www.mdanderson.org/departments/bloodbank/dIndex.cfm?pn=0A133F7B-C05C-4906-A3B0DB0161B9CD6C .
You may need this information: Patient is Marie Shugart, b-day is
11-07-77 and her patient number is #689731.
Please continue with the prayers. She needs God' help more now than
she ever has before.

FROM Dr. Frank Varro~
Westchase UMC is happy to announce the city-wide Rally for PASTOR YUN
from CHINA, on Friday, Sept. 8, at 7:00 pm, at Westchase UMC, 9603
Westheimer Road, in Houston.
Known as "The Heavenly Man," Pastor Yun was imprisoned three times,
persecuted, tortured, and starved, but the Lord miraculously delivered
him. He literally walked out (shades of Peter in Acts 12!) of a maximum
security prison from which no person had ever escaped, and guards lost
their jobs. He has since toured extensively in the U.S. and elsewhere,
and has a vision to carry the gospel around the globe in this
generation! Come hear this amazing Chinese pastor tell this inspiring,
life-changing story. The entire service will be interpreted in Chinese and
English. A love offering will be taken for Pastor Yun and his ministry.
Please come, and bring your church, and friends!

FROM Dixie Gopher~
I have two air conditioning units that we bought in July and used for 1
week in our home when our air conditioner went out. I would like to
donate both units, preferably to a senior citizen. I live in Keller and I
can deliver them within the N. Texas area (20miles), but cannot lift
them. Or someone from the church could pick them up. I would like a
receipt. Please e-mail me at dixiegopher1@verizon.net.
