wks. Pray his intestines start producing good bacteria. All other
injuries are healing (head, back, ribs, lungs) from motorcycle accident.

TAC Restorative Justice Committee Funding is available for churches
starting new DISCIPLE Bible Study in Prison programs. You may have read in
the UMC Reporter that offering a DISCIPLE class in Prison has the power
to revitalize congregations. If your church would like assistance
(financial and/or "how to" guidance) with starting this ministry of

Houston~
St. Paul’s UMC, Houston, is hosting a Lenten retreat for women from 7
p.m. Friday, March, 17, to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 18.
The retreat will follow the order of the monastic hours as
represented in the book, "Music of Silence: A Sacred Journey through the Hours
of the Day" by David Steindal Rast, who is a Benedictine monk, and
Sharon Labell. Specific monastic hours will be observed in worship services
and reflections. Participants also will prepare meals together and
provide their own table service, including napkins.
Two spaces for personal reflection will be in the Activity Center
during the retreat: St. Paul’s labyrinth and Psal.li, a textile
installation by Thomas Hardin, a Rice University graduate student in
architecture and printmaking.
The $30 fee will cover breakfast and lunch. For more information,

The 5-Day Academy is an Upper Room Ministries retreat for lay and
clergy to experience God in an intentional Christian community, a time
for spiritual renewal, fellowship, study and rest.

Partners in Mission SIFAT work trip - April 17-21, 2006
SIFAT is Servants in Faith and Technology, International, based in
Lineville AL.
Come for all or part of the week after Easter; flexible scheduling
before and after work project.
LODGING: International House $12 per person per night payable to SIFAT
when you leave the project. Bring sleeping bag and towels or pay
one-time $5 linens fee
PROJECT FEE: $100 per person payable to Texas Conference PIM
PROJECTS: floor repair Tues-Thurs 4/18-20 (Don White) Bring carpenter
tools. We need a few more men for this project! and funding from any
church who wants to contribute.
Non carpenters can help with SIFAT day event for children on Wednesday.

Celebration Women's Ministry announces Spring Conference 2006 . . .
Girlfriend Weekend! The conference will be April 28-30 at the Woodlands
Waterway Marriott Hotel. The keynote speaker will be author Jan Silvious.
Her passion is to help women understand relationships and be freed from
the ruts of life. Her bottom-line, humorous messages appeal to women of
all ages. At this conference, women will experience joyful praise and
worship, dynamic speakers, equipping workshops, quiet prayer time, and
fun with the girls.
