_____________________CONFERENCE INFORMATION______________________

FROM Monroe Walker, Lakeview Methodist Center
Last Wednesday, lightning struck the Crafts Auditorium at Lakeview. The
result was a fire that completely destroyed the roof over the building.
But God was watching over us! The fire was limited to only the
auditorium building. Neither of the other two classroom wings were affected.
The original corrugated steel flat roof prevented the fire from entering
the interior of the building. Therefore only water and smoke damage
affected the inside. This means we'll have to replace the roof, ceiling,
tables, a tv/vcr, doors, and the wooden stage. The chairs are okay and
the piano has only minor exterior water damage. We're not sure of the
affect the water will have on the floor yet. Repairs should begin as soon
as we have bids from contractors. The building will be back online
before summer. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers as we go through
the repair process!
